Our process - How we work

As brokers we provide personalised credit advice to our clients. Our process helps you navigate the lending landscape to find the right loan for your situation, without complex jargon and at no cost to you.

The below is a general guide to our home loan process. We will tailor our approach to your individual circumstances, with a different process applying to commercial loan applications.

Discover

We work closely with our clients to understand their needs, goals and objectives.

At this stage we look to learn as much detail as possible about your situation, and what you are looking to achieve. We will start collecting the necessary documents to help assess your options gathering as much documentation as possible upfront to minimise future stress.

We will also provide you with a copy of our credit guide to help you understand more about the lending process, and what options we have available to you.

Depending on your circumstances we may also complete a credit report, and order property valuations.

Research

Based off of what we learned in the discovery phase, we will research possible loan options and prepare a report for you which includes estimates of your borrowing capacity, funds required and a comparison of loan products.

We will walk you through the options that may be available to you, explaining the pros and cons of each. We will also make a recommendation on what we believe the best product is for your situation.

It is important to note that we are not the lender approving the loan. All loan products are subject to lender terms and conditions, fees and charges and eligibility criteria apply.

Apply

Once you have selected a lender and loan product, we will prepare a summary of requirements and a credit proposal disclosure.

We will then prepare the lender application forms, collate all the necessary documentation and submit your application to the lender.

Throughout this process we will keep you updated on the progress of your application. If there are any issues we will work with you and the lender to resolve them. In the unlikely event we are unable to obtain approval we will research other options.

Settlement

Once your loan has been approved, we will work with you and all parties involved to ensure a smooth settlement. This might include your lender, real estate agent, settlement agent and/or other legal representatives.

This will include signing loan documents, transfer documents if purchasing a property, and other paperwork necessary for settlement. It is also important to arrange or update insurance policies prior to settlement. We can assist with insurance quotes if required. We are available to provide you with personalised assistance throughout the process.

We will follow up with all parties right until settlement to make sure everything is on track to hit your target settlement date.

Post Settlement

Once your loan has settled we are still here to support you. We will check in with you to ensure everything is as expected, and if you have any questions relating to your new loan set up.

If you do have any questions, we are here to help. When your circumstances change, we can review your loan to ensure it continues to meet your needs.
